Steve Lueker specializes in taxation and finance with extensive experience in corporate transactions, derivatives, structured products, M&A, private equity, real estate, bankruptcy, start up business matters, intellectual property, arbitrations and settlements of disputes.

Mr. Lueker is an accomplished tax attorney with experience providing tax, corporate, restructuring and litigation advice. He has negotiated and structured numerous finance transactions, ranging from plain-vanilla credit facilities to highly structured, bespoke bilateral facilities.  After Lehman’s bankruptcy, he worked at Lehman’s bankruptcy estate where we restructured assets and liabilities of the estate.  In addition, Mr. Lueker headed up the structuring department at a large European investment bank with the responsibility for executing bespoke transactions across a broad range of asset classes with insurance companies, banking institutions and U.S. corporations.  Those asset classes included derivative transactions, energy and natural gas, reinsurance, real estate, and international ship leasing.  He has also created and managed Luxembourg financing conduits and worked to optimize regulatory capital charges of financial institutions under Basal Accords.

Steve Lueker interned at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and served as a law clerk for the United Stated Attorney’s Office, Civil Division, in San Diego, California.
